Trip to Jamaica
December 2016
Description: One of the fascinating things God continues to do through Agri-Stewards is making connections. We often marvel at new people we meet and we can’t wait to see how God will use them in our ministry.
I just returned from Jamaica. This trip I had two men from northern Minnesota join me. They live so far north that their northern property line is the Canadian border. My family has vacationed at Lake Kabetogama for 60 years. We love to worship at Northwoods Bible Church in Ray, MN where Cory Rintala is the pastor. This past summer my aunt and uncle were at church the week before my family arrived and were telling Cory about my trip to Liberia. The following Sunday Cory asked if I would tell the church about my trip. After church Cory’s brother in law, Josiah, came up and asked even more questions about Agri-Stewards. He mentioned that he would like to go with me sometime in the future. I recently was asked to return to Jamaica for some more training . The Jamaicans asked for some help with goats in addition to raising grains and vegetables. I contacted Josiah to see if he wanted to come along and if he had any experience with goats. Yep, you guessed it- his family raised dairy goats for a number of years!
